“To honor our grief, to grant it space and time in our frantic world, is to fulfill a covenant with soul – to welcome all that is, thereby granting room for our most authentic life.”

Preparing for end-of-life or managing the impact of a life-changing illness has a unique emotional meaning for each individual. Finding meaning when illness arises provides an opportunity to understand our values, preferences, and hopes for end-of-life. I believe that sharing our deep emotional selves creates space for restorative healing amidst the indignity that can be shaped by disease and illness. In practice, I explore the profound impacts of serious illness on a person's sense of self, self-worth, fears, and dignity. This sacred space provides an opportunity to reclaim a sense of self and learn how to live well with dying. I offer in-person and virtual end-of-life planning services, individual therapy, and grief and bereavement support for individuals and groups who have experienced living loss, as well as support for those who are grieving after the death of a loved one. I provide a safe and compassionate space for individuals to explore their grief, find support, and move toward healing, whether in individual sessions or a group setting.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, receiving my Master of Social Work from the University of Washington. I was honored to be a Carol LaMare Palliative Care and Oncology Social Work Fellow. I hold advanced certifications in Hospice and Palliative Care Social Work from the National Association of Social Workers and in Oncology Social Work from the Association of Oncology Social Workers. For nearly ten years, I have worked in oncology and palliative care, where I have developed a passion for supporting individuals living with life-limiting illnesses and the people who love them. In addition to my experience in end-of-life care, I have over a decade of experience providing support to individuals living with complex and chronic behavioral health needs and serious mental illness.
When not engaging in this important work, I enjoy spending time with my spouse, dogs and all the outdoors offers on the beautiful North Coast.
