Join us for a meaningful exploration of how the North Coast Oregon Threshold Choir’s compassionate music can offer solace at life’s final threshold. The Threshold Choir is an international organization of volunteer singers who offer comfort through gentle a cappella music to individuals at the thresholds of life, particularly those nearing the end of life. Founded in 2000, the choir has expanded to over 175 chapters worldwide, including the North Coast. The choir's mission is rooted in the belief that music can be a healing power and an instrument for peace and justice. They are committed to creating a harmonious culture of inclusivity, respect, and love, affirming the beauty, dignity, and wholeness of all people. When invited to a bedside, small groups of two to four singers perform songs to bring ease, comfort, and peace.
During this offering, you will learn more about its vision and mission, witness a live practice, be invited to ask questions, and learn how to request and receive an offering from the North Coast Oregon Threshold Choir.
